Almond Poppy Seed Spread (recipe below)
4 oz. cream cheese (or light cream cheese), softened
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Dash almond extract
½ teaspoon poppy seeds
Combine spread ingredients in mixer.
Thinly slice bread (or used sliced bread). Spread a thin layer of apricot preserves on half of the slices. Spread a thin layer of Almond Poppy Seed Spread on the other half of the slices. Lay turkey slices over spread and cover with apricot preserve slice of bread. Cut sandwiches into festive fall shapes with the Autumn Cookie and Sandwich Cutter Set.
