Makes about 18 gingerbread men.

1 cup dark brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1½ cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground ginger
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
¼ tsp. ground allspice
¼ tsp. ground cloves
½ cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Spray Gingerbread Man Pan with cooking spray. Cream butter and brown sugar together. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat in dry ingredients, then beat in milk.

Fill cavities in Gingerbread Man Pan about ½ full with batter. Bake 15-17 minutes. Remove cakes from pan and cool on cooling rack. When cool, decorate cakes with decorator icing or sprinkles as desired.
